Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao is back in Manila after deciding to pull out of his training camp in Baguio City in the face of a threat by another super typhoon, international code name Lupit,  headed towards northern Philippines.

Conditioning expert Alex Ariza told BoxingScene.com, insidesports.ph, Standard Today and Viva Sports that it was a long and tiring drive from the summer  capital of  Baguio City which had been isolated for days because of back-to-back typhoons and landslides that had blocked all approach roads to the city.

Ariza said he had asked Pacquiao to eat well and have a good rest before a planned workout later in the day at either the Wild Card Gym of his late manager and mentor Rod Nazario in Sucat, Paranaque or the Gerry Penalosa gym in a Mall in Mandaluyong City.

Pacquiao will wind up the Philippine leg of his training by the weekend before flying to Los Angeles on October 24 to step up training at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym before motoring to Las Vegas for the final week leading up to his “Fire Power” showdown with WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand on November 14.
