Vadim Kornilov, manager of WBC International junior welterweight champion Victor Postol (26-0, 11KOs) of Ukraine, says his fighter will look even better if he gets the opportunity to face WBC/WBA 140-pound champion Danny Garcia. Two weeks ago in California, Postol won a final WBC eliminator with a very impressive eleventh round knockout of durable contender Selcuk Aydin of Turkey.

"As a team we were confident that Victor would win, but he exceeded all of our expectations. We are very proud of him. First, we have communicated with WBC, and, considering the high probability of Danny Garcia moving up to welterweight, [Postol can fight for an interim title and then the winner can be considered the full champion]. Otherwise, Garcia will have to meet with us, and in the next fight Victor will be even better than he was against Aydin, because he trained with our new team of only one and a half months," Kornilov said.
