Kellie "Frank" Maloney is planning to manage fighters and she may even resume her old post of promoting shows. Frank Maloney rocked the headlines on both sides of the ocean, after announcing earlier this year that he planned to surgically transition himself into a woman. Maloney changed his name to Kellie and began openly living as a women.

At first, Maloney had no plans to remain in the sport. Maloney eventually made a decision to continue in boxing after receiving some words of encouragement from Main Events CEO  Kathy Duva.

"Last week, I went to the US for a few talk shows and to meet boxing promoter Kathy Duva. I speak to her quite a lot and she encourages me. She said - 'Why would you let all that talent go to waste?' I’ve formed a sports management company, which I’ll be announcing in the new year, and part of me wants to go back into boxing as a promoter," Maloney stated on The Telegraph.

"I think I was the last of the old-fashioned promoters. Frank [Warren] is now more concentrated on his TV company, which I admire. Without him, I think boxing would be in trouble in this country."

"My name and reputation was made as Frank Maloney. It wasn’t made as Kellie Maloney. Kellie is just coming into the world. I’m going through all different stages of my life again. Kellie has to build her reputation and build her respect. She can’t expect it based on who she was previously."
