Former junior welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi has struck a few verbal shots in the direction of another ex-140-pound champion, Devon Alexander. Malignaggi calls it a measure of revenge for some of the past comments that were made by Alexander. While Malignaggi never discussed the exact comments made by Alexander, he is probably angry over some of Alexander's comments regarding Amir Khan's selection of Malignaggi as last May's opponent for his American debut.
Malignaggi says "it's his turn" and he's going after Alexander for last Saturday performance in the ten round technical decision loss to Timothy Bradley. Alexander was unable to continue due to a damaged eye.
"Another fighter had some poorly chosen words to say about me, I let him slide until now. It's easy to cast judgements on other fighters when you aint never been tested. On Saturday night [it was] your first time facing adversity [and] you quit like the punk most of us suspected you always were. Remember something, you dont throw stones if you live in a glass house. Win or lose you won't ever see me quit because I fight until the end. You can question my power, my attitude but you can't question my heart! Man up punk," Malignaggi said.
