Principe Theater in Milan, Italy - Making a quick return after last month's TKO defeat at the hands of Danny Garcia in Brooklyn, former two-division world champion Paulie "Magic Man" Malignaggi (34-7, 7 KOs) made his debut in Italy before a sold out crowd and won an eight round unanimous decision over journeyman Laszlo Fazekas (27-22-1, 17 KOs) of Hungary. The scores were 79-72, 80-71, 80-71.

According to some of the news snips overseas, Malignaggi could very well face EBU welterweight champion Gianluca Branco (49-3-1, 24KOs), who won 13 of his last 14 bouts.

The EBU champion was only stopped once in his career when he faced Miguel Cotto on his home soil in 2006 - only three months prior to Malignaggi having his breakout fight with Cotto in Madison Square Garden.
