Junior welterweight Paulie Malignaggi finds Amir Khan's recent comments very amusing. Malignaggi can't believe Khan had the nerve to tell people he will be ready to fight the like of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao in twelve months. Malignaggi doesn't think Khan is in their league and says his boxing record proves it.

"He really believes his own hype. If he said 'I'm a champion and I'm learning on the way up and I'm hungry and I want to face all of the best fighters.' I would say 'this guy, it's okay to be cocky because he understands where he's at.' But he doesn't understand where he's at," Malignaggi said.

"He just said a few days ago he's ready to fight a Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather. I want the drugs he's on. He's on some good stuff. A guy who got knocked out by Breidis Prescott 15-months ago is calling out Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. If this was an American fighter, they would laugh at him. But because he's a foreign fighter the British press says 'oh my goodness he's calling out Mayweather and Pacquiao' and then the American press jumps on their bandwagon."

Malignaggi has his chance to shut Khan on up on May 15 when they clash at New York's Madison Square Garden.
