Former champion Paulie Malignaggi (27-3, 5 KO) ensures that the spectators of his upcoming bout against Amir Khan (22-1, 16 KO) will not be bored. In the interview given to BoxingScene.com/Bokser.org, the “Magic Man” declares that he is going to provide an explosion at New York's Madison Square Garden and grab the WBA light welterweight title which currently belongs to “Mr Nice Guy” as Malignaggi named his opponent.

- Amir Khan said that he will finish your career. What do you think about it?

Paulie Malignaggi: Amir is a funny guy, he plays this peace maker, and says no need for sh*t talking. But then he goes and takes shots. Which is it going to be? Are you going to be Mr. Nice guy or you're going to talk sh*t? We can talk sh*t, and I'll beat him at that too. I don't care what Khan has to say, him and his team will be worrying about his career after May 15th.

- What can we expect of your fight against Khan?

PM: Expect fireworks, if the fans can't get to the fight, then sit back and watch it on HBO. Get your popcorn ready, because it's going to be a blockbuster night!

- Where are you training now? Who are your sparring partners?

PM: I train in Coney Island right now, I have a few different sparring partners.

- What is your tactical plan for the fight?

PM: I advise you to stay tuned to see what tricks I have up my sleeve for this fight. A magician never tells his secrets. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve for Amir Khan.

- Your boxing alias is ‘Magic Man’. What is the magic point of Paulie Malignaggi?

PM: I'm like a magician as soon as that bell rings. I made a few titles disappear into my hands. And come May 15th, I'll make Amir and his belt disappear.

- Who is the best pound for pound fighter in the world now?

PM: Floyd Mayweather.

- What is your prediction for the Mayweather – Mosley fight?

PM: It's going to be a great fight, not a fight you want to bet on. I'm not sure what's going to happen.

- You have fought all around the USA. Which arena is your favorite (MGM or maybe MSG)?

PM: The greatest feeling is always fighting in my hometown. Nothing like fighting and the crowd is behind you. This is going to be a great night for boxing.

- You are only 29. If you defeat Khan, what will be your next plan?

PM: The sky is the limit, will worry about the future after May 15th. I'm not looking past no one.
