Paulie Malignaggi is already eyeing a rematch with Adrien Broner but knows he'll first need to get past Zab Judah this weekend.

The former world champions collide on Saturday in Brooklyn, New York, six months after Malignaggi lost his WBA welterweight belt to Broner.

Broner defends that title against Marcos Maidana on December 14 and the 'Magic Man' wants another shot at the unbeaten star who beat him on a split decision back in June.

Malignaggi, who like Judah hails from Brooklyn, said: "I want that Broner v Maidana winner but, first things first, I have to get through Saturday night.

"A win over Zab Judah is what I want for Christmas. That suffices."

Malignaggi expects Judah to prove a tough nut to crack with both men knowing defeat will leave them on the brink of retirement.

"I expect the best Zab Judah," said Malignaggi, who once fought and lost to Ricky Hatton.

"[I expect] a Zab Judah who is going to be fighting for his boxing career. I feel the same way."

He added there was no love lost between the pair.

"If we saw each other in the gym, we would try to knock each other out," he continued. "There's no love taps. With this much on the line you can bet we're both going to have it out on Saturday.

"We're both motivated to win, but when you're at this level anything can get you motivated for a fight like this. If you're not motivated for this, you better check your pulse to make sure you're alive."
