IBF junior welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi, during a recent interview with BoxingScene.com’s Rick Reeno, gave his thoughts on the Dec. 8 showdown between WBC welterweight champ Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and challenger Ricky Hatton.

In his opinion, Malignaggi thinks Hatton will take a serious amount of punishment in the fight.

“I think Hatton is going to get the sh*t beat out of him. That's what I think, but business wise he made the move that anyone else would have made. It's the highest money fight by far and he went out and got it so more power to him. He's going to get the sh*t beat out of him, there's a price tag on that ass whooping. He's willing to pay the price for that ass whooping. He's willing to get paid for that ass whooping, compensated. He's going to get compensated real well with a good ass whooping,” Malignaggi said.

“My prediction is that he goes back to England and stays there for while because he's not going want any part of America after that ass whooping.”

Malignaggi is slated to return on Dec. 1 against mandatory Herman Ngoudjo in the co-feature bout to a Showtime televised event from Atlantic City.
