Atlantic City, NJ - Undefeated Polish middleweight Patrick Majewski will make his second appearance at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on December 9, when he faces Eddie Caminero in a scheduled eight round bout.
Former light-heavyweight and cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek of Jersey City, NJ will compete in the 12 round heavyweight main event against Vinny Maddalone of Flushing, Queens. The show will be promoted by Main Events, Ziggy Promotions and Star Boxing.
Majewski, age 30, of Atlantic City, NJ by way of Radom, Poland, has a record of 14-0 (9 KO). Despite having just 14 amateur bouts, Majewski has faced and defeated tough competition in the pros, including Jimmy Lubash (13-1), Latif Mundy (8-0) and Joseph Gomez (17-2) in his most recent fight in October.
“I’m very excited for this fight,” said Majewski, who is promoted by Global Boxing Promotions. ”There will be a lot of Polish fans to see Adamek fight that night and I hope to give them a good show. I’ve been working hard in the gym to be ready for this fight.”
Caminero, who resides in Lawrence, Massachusetts, is known as “Thunder” because of his formidable punching power. With a record of 7-3, all of his wins have come by way of knockout. In his two bouts this year, Caminero has knocked out highly-regarded prospects Chris Traietti (8-1) and Joe Smith Jr (6-0).
“I know the fights are getting harder, not easier,” said Majewski. “I work in the gym with my trainer and we keep getting better. Hopefully soon I’ll be ready for bigger fights.
“We’re taking our time because I didn’t have a big amateur career. It’s not my decision with who I’m fighting or where I’m fighting. Global Boxing is taking care of my career and business. Whatever they say is good for me because I’ll fight anybody.”
