Sebastian Contursi, the adviser to WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana, has no knowledge of an ongoing investigation into last Saturday's decision victory over Adrien Broner at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
TMZ reported on Tuesday - citing "sources close to Broner" - that the Texas Commission is investigating the allegations that strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza, between the eleventh and twelfth rounds, slipped something to Maidana.
Conturi has no knowledge of any investigation and nobody has informed him of any post-fight issues.
"I think this is crazy, that they are even thinking that [Maidana] was given something. But whenever Ariza is [involved], he always becomes a target. Nobody from the Texas Commission has said anything to us," Contursi said.
