Marcos Maidana is labeling Floyd Mayweather Jr. as an coward in the ring, stating the undefeated boxer refused to trade punches in their May fight, which Mayweather won with a twelve round majority decision. A rematch is set for September 13th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Maidana plans to apply a lot of pressure, force the fight and cut the ring off when Mayweather starts using his legs to create distance. Maidana has stated in earlier interview that he's focused on stopping Mayweather inside the distance.
“I’m going to be on him from the opening bell,” Maidana said. “I’m going to try and force him to fight. I’m preparing for anything. If he’s going to run like a little bitch I’m going to have to chase him and I’m prepared to do that.
“It’s difficult to knock out Floyd because he runs but I will try my best and we will see what happens. I want him to stand and fight like a man. Stop crying like a little bitch and fight.”
