The interim junior welterweight champion of the World Boxing Association, Marcos "El Chino" Maidana has replied to Amir Khan (the full champion) after some of Amir's recent statements annoyed the Argentine fighter and his team. Khan said that Maidana was requesting "too much money" for their fight on Saturday December 11.

“Don’t stick your nose where it shouldn’t be. My payday for the fight is none of your business. Just focus on your preparation and let’s meet December 11," said "El Chino" in a statement released by his team.

"Who does this guy thinks he is? He thinks that he creates the rules of boxing. First, he ran scared from me during almost one year. Now he wants to be the one setting when and where we will fight. Not only that, he wants to determine what my payday should be," added the Santa Fe fighter.

Finally, he fired: "Khan should remove his big nose out of our negotiations with Golden Boy Promotions and concentrate on the fight. Of course, I will not make take short money because it is a great fight. But let me make it very clear that I am not overpricing myself at all, because I want to fight Khan on December 11."
