Four division and middleweight champion Miguel Cotto signed top amateur prospect Magdiel Cotto [no relation]. At only 22 years old, Magdiel was part of the Puerto Rico National Team that competed in the past Pan American games in Toronto and other important international tournaments and finished with a outstanding record of 90-10.
"Magdiel is a really good fighter. I had the opportunity to work with him and he is a great talent. We will give the best tools for his development but he has to work hard to have a bright future," said WBC middleweight champion and promoter Miguel Cotto.
"This is a dream for me, I have work all my life for this moment. I will give everything to accomplish my goals and be one of the greatest," said Magdiel Cotto.
Magdiel will be making his pro debut in front of his hometown at Boxeo Al Maximo on Saturday, November 14.
