One of the featured bouts of the November 5th pay-per-view card that features Manny Pacquiao against WBO welterweight belt-holder Jessie Vargas, is the bout between WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire (37-3, 24KOs) and mandatory challenger Jessie Magdaleno (23-0, 17KOs).
But Magdaleno, who more than once has had problems making weight, has never actually scaled 122-pounds.
Which doesn't concern the 24-year old native of Las Vegas, who says - "We're almost there for November 5th."
Over the summer the talented southpaw switched trainers, which he believes has helped his concentration and focus.
"What helped me the most is Manuel Robles, his work ethic, everything he has for me,"said Magdaleno, who was trained by Joel Diaz in the past. "As well as (manager) Frank Espinoza and Frankie Jr. and all the motivation they give me to make weight on the fight."
When asked to describe the 2016 version of 'the Filipino Flash', Magdaleno states - "In my opinion, I don't think he's the same fighter as he was a few years ago I think the age is kicking in a lot on him and I think that's where we're really going to take over in the later rounds or maybe even the early rounds."
