Junior welterweight contender Hank Lundy (23-3-1, 11KOs) is hungry to get revenge on hard-puncher John Molina (26-3, 21KOs). Back in 2010, Molina scored a come from behind stoppage of Lundy in the eleventh round. At the time of the stoppage, Lundy was up 98-91, 98-91, and 97-92 on the three official scorecards.
Molina is scheduled to return on November 16th as part of the Andre Ward-Edwin Rodriguez undercard at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California.
After reading a recent article on BoxingScene, where Molina said he was having trouble securing opponents, and also pondered a move to 140-pounds - Lundy is prepared to help him out in both areas.
"HBO wants the fight, but he keeps running from me. On November 16th, on the HBO card, let's do it. Stop running and let's have the fight. We're ready to go for November the 16th, we're already in shape. I want to see what he's going to do, if he's going to step up and fight me. The fight we had before, I was sick in that fight and I was beating him hands down. In the eleventh round, with 30 seconds left, they waved the fight off and I was still on my feet. On the HBO card, let's make good money and do it. Scared money don't make no money. I'm rated in the top five in the world at 140. He's thinking about moving up, then once again I'm the savior. Let's see how real he is about fighting," Lundy told BoxingScene.com.
