Luke Keeler has had his next opponent confirmed.

The Dublin middleweight, who was a finalist in the last edition of the knockout tournament Prizefighter 12 months ago, is set to return to the ring next month.

Keeler (9-1, 5 KOs) was originally set to feature on an MGM Promotions show in Clondalkin earlier this month, but that was canned just hours before due to a shooting incident.

And after having his second supposed return date scrapped in the space of two weeks, the 28-year-old will finally get to lace up the gloves again, for the first time since last September, in Birmingham.

He’ll feature on the undercard of the Sky Sports-televised card at the Genting Arena, which is topped by the British and Commonwealth welterweight title scrap between Sam Eggington and Bradley Skeete, on March 5 when he takes on Adam Jones over six rounds.

Jones, 23, is Yorkshire-based and carries a record of five wins from 21 fights, with 12 losses and four draws.

But the super welterweight, who is ranked at number 24 in Britain, will be best known for being the man who outpointed recently retired Anthony Fitzgerald in his farewell fight last autumn at the Holte Suite at Aston Villa FC’s Villa Park.

Keeler, however, will be hoping that he can put on a show and potentially book himself a spot –– hopefully in a title fight –– on the big Sky Sports Belfast return on April 30, with the venue still to be named.
