Manager Frank Espinoza has re-inked his managerial agreement with lightweight contender Luis Ramos Jr. (23-2, 10KOs). The California native suffered some bad breaks recently.
In December of 2012, Ramos dropped Olympian Ricardo Williams Jr. in the first round, but the fight was waved off at the end of five due to severe cuts suffered by Ramos. He then suffered a second consecutive defeat when he stepped in the ring with Fidel Maldonado Jr. almost a year later. Maldonado stopped Ramos in the seventh. Once again Ramos was plagued with cuts in defeat.
"I believe in loyalty. I truly believe Ramos has a lot of potential and he will recover in style. He's still a young fighter and there is plenty of time left for him to get back on his feet. I expect big things for Ramos in the future," Espinoza told BoxingScene.com.
