On December 1st, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will defend his title against unbeaten former WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO champion Tyson Fury.  The fight will headline a Showtime pay-per-view event that will broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

In one of the televised undercard fights, top heavyweight contender Luis Oritz (29-1) will face Travis Kauffman (32-2).  This will be Ortiz's third fight of the year.

Ortiz nearly stopped Wilder in their March clash at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. However Wilder was able to compose himself and stopped the Cuban in the 10th round of one of the most exciting fights of the year.

"It is going to be an interesting fight. Obviously Wilder is going to fight somebody taller than him now and that could make for an interesting fight but I don't think he will have any problems with Fury," said Ortiz when asked about the fight at his recent media workout.

When pressed for a prediction on when he thought a knockout would occur, Ortiz said that it could happen at anytime.

"They both have hands so anything can happen. They are both big heavyweights and if either lands they could get a knockout but I think Wilder will get be the one getting it," said Ortiz.

Shortly after winning his titles Fury became inactive and eventually had his titles stripped when he tested positive for cocaine.  He has had two recent tune up bouts but was inactive for two and a half years prior to his recent activity. 

Ortiz believes that could also play a factor in this fight.

"I think so. Inactivity doesn't help anyone but the longer the fight lasts that could favor Fury with his awkward style. If Wilder jumps on him early on it could be a short night," Ortiz explained.
