Cuban featherweight Luis Franco returned to the gym, training with coach Jorge Rubio in Miami, Florida. Franco says he is back and thinks he still has plenty of time to reach his goals in professional boxing.

"I'm training with the aim to fight again soon. Now I working with Jorge Rubio here in Miami, and I am slowly returning to my best level," Franco said. "In a few more weeks, I'll be ready and I'll talk to my managers to look for a fight."

"For now, I'm going to stay in the gym and I am still convinced that I have a lot to give to boxing. I refocused my career. What happened before is past and stays in the past. I learned a hard lesson and will not make the same mistakes, now everything will be different."

"Luis Franco is a boxer with a lot of talent, working with determination and that is important in this sport. We will continue to increase the workouts gradually, and hopefully soon his handlers will get him a fight. He deserves another chance and is working hard in the gym," Rubio said.
