Punctual Luis ‘El Nica’ Concepción (30-3, 22 KO’s) says he hopes to defend his Silver flyweight title for the third time in late February. Concepcion has now won seven in a row, with five by knockout, since getting knocked out in the first round by Hernan "Tyson" Marquez in October of 2011. He won the WBC silver crown from Anuar Salas in April of 2013 and defended it twice to close out the year.
“I've already began training for my next defense, God’s will it will take place in February, against an opponent yet to be announced,” Concepcion said.
With a weight off his mind, “Nica” said that he’s currently 16 pounds above the weight limit, but he will continue training to be in top shape for the day of the fight.
