Experienced former world champion Manuel "Chango" Vargas (30-8-1, 15KOs) will be the new opponent for the returning flyweight Luis "El Nica" Conception (22-2, 17KOS). Vargas replaces Colombian Cesar Canchila, who withdrew from the fight after a medical evaluation revealed nerve damage, which affecting the mobility of his legs. Vargas has been in the ring with some of the best, including Nonito Donaire, Giovani Segura, Román González, Michael Arango, Donnie Nietes, Juan Esquer, among others.  

The fight takes place on August 11th at the Arena Roberto Duran in Panama City, Panama. It is Concepcion's first fight back since losing the WBA crown to Hernan "Tyson" Marquez in April.
