Former WBA super flyweight champion Luis Concepcion has been pulled from the June 17 Anselmo "Chemito" Moren-Lorenzo Parra undercard, which is taking place at the Arena Roberto Duran in Panama. Concepción was going to make his first ring appearance since the stoppage loss to Mexico's Hernán "Tyson" Márquez. The loss to Marquez was not enough to make Concepcion rededicate himself to the sport. The boxer's inconsistency in training was the main cause for his removal from the June card.
Rogelio Espiño, the agent for Concepción, said his boxer is not taking things seriously in the gym. Espiño advised the boxer to stay away from some of the cronies who drag him away from the gym.
"Concepcion is not training as he should be. His priorities lie elsewhere, instead of training and being focused on his next fight," Espiño said.
