InterBox have announced that former champion Lucian Bute (31-2, 24 KOs) will return to the ring on December 6th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. The return will come eleven months since suffering a decision loss to Canadian rival Jean Pascal in the biggest fight ever on Canadian soil.

Bute, 34-years-old, had did some training with Hall of Fame coach Freddie Roach but a deal was never struck between the two. Bute's opponent and trainer are unknown, but he will likely fight at light heavyweight.

Prior to the Pascal loss, he won a twelve round decision over Denis Grachev in November 2012 and a few months earlier he suffered a devastating TKO defeat to Carl Froch.
