Lucian Bute (31-1, 24KOs) feels very confident as his training camp continues for the all-Canadian battle with fellow former champion Jean Pascal (28-2-1, 17KOs). Bute moves up to the light heavyweight division to face Pascal for the NABF title on January 18th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Bute will be coming off a decent layoff, with an inactivity stretch that dates back to November of 2012. But he feels that his high punch output may end up overwhelming Pascal in the fight.

"I feel that if I'm entering the ring and I'm focused and relaxed, then it will be a one-sided fight. I will control my every move, I know that if I am fluid, if I let the hands go ...Jean is a guy who boxes for a minute and a half, two minutes per round, nothing more than that. He will not be able to keep up with me," said Bute to La Presse.
