American boxing fans will get their first look at the sleeper of the super middleweight division, IBF champion Lucian Bute (22-0, 18 KOs). His upcoming October 24 mandatory title defense against Librado Andrade (27-1, 21 KOs) will be televised in the main event on Showtime's ShoBox series.
Some insiders call Bute, agrowing superstar in Canada, the next major force at 168-pounds. Bute has already piled up wins over Sakio Bika, Alejandro Berrio and William Joppy. Andrade is the most dangerous opponent to date.
The tough Mexican from California has only lost one bout in his entire pro-career, a twelve-round decision to Mikkel Kessler, but during the contest he took everything that Kessler had to offer. Since that loss, Anrade has put together a three-fight win streak which includes knockouts over Yusaf Mack and Robert Stieglitz.
