Antonio Lozada, Jr. and Ramiro Alcarez both came in right at the super lightweight divisional limit of 140 lb. for their scheduled 12-round headliner Saturday evening in Rosarito, Mexico.

The bout is a rematch to their first encounter in September, in which Alcarez (14-2-1, 8KO) pulled off a shocking upset in winning an eight round decision. The verdict was in part attributable to Lozada Jr. (32-2, 28KO) injuring his hand early in the bout, but was still outfought for the most part in what was meant as a stay busy bout for a sought-after title shot.

Lozada Jr. had won his previous nine contests—all but one by knockout—before suffering his first loss in more than two years.

The bout marks Alcarez' first scheduled 12-round affair.

Also on the show, unbeaten lightweight prospect Patricio Moreno takes on late sub David Gonzalez in a 10-round lightweight contest. Moreno (11-0, 8KO) hit the scales at 132.75 lb, while Gonzalez—who replaces Reyes Velazquez (no reason offered)—was slightly heavier, but at 133.25 lb. still well within the lightweight limit.

Both bouts air live on Cadena Tres in Mexico and is also scheduled to stream live on Suljos.tv (Saturday, 9:00PM Central Time).
