Super flyweight Isidro Lorona of the Philippines has been beaten in a WBO Asia Pacific title fight by Thai champion Pramuansak Posuwan in Wongwianyai, Bangkok. The Filipino dropped a unanimous twelve round decision to the 36 year old Posuwan who was making the fifth defense of his title which he won with a first round TKO over Salfukarov Bakitzan on January 14 this year.
The undefeated Posuwan was coming off a successful title defense against another Filipino, Sherwin Paro, last October 12. The win over Lorona was Posuwan’s ninth straight victory this year alone. According to the boxing website boxrec.com Posuwan has a record of 25-0 with 14 knockouts.
For Lorona, it was his third straight defeat this year having earlier dropped a unanimous eight round decision to Indonesia’s Hengky Wuwungan last October 26 and a ten round split decision to Jito Armando,another Indonesian on July 13. Both fights were staged at the RCTI TV Studios in Jakarta.
