Shortly after his 10th round demolishing of Romulo Koasicha, BoxingScene.com caught up with Vasyl Lomachenko to get his thoughts on the fight.
The fight, which was televised by HBO, was very one sided. Lomachenko showed excellent hand speed and footwork that isn't seen very often. The 27-year old from Ukraine revealed that he watched a lot of former pound-for-pound king Roy Jones Jr. as a kid and that is where part of his style may have came from.
"I am having a lot of fun and I am enjoying my fights. Most likely what I learned is from Roy Jones' bouts. I liked to watch him when I was a kid and I liked his style and the way that he had fun in the ring," said Lomachenko.
When asked how he feels about being on many people's top 10 pound for pound lists after only 6 professional fights, Lomachenko (5-1, 3KOs) said that he probably needs a few more fights to really be on such lists.
"I don't feel like I am in that position yet. The fans can decide but I feel that I need a few more big wins before I am on a pound for pound list," Lomachenko told BoxingScene.com.
