(31-1-1, 12 KOs), of Palm Springs, Calif., and undefeated World Boxing Association (WBA) super lightweight world champion JESSIE VARGAS (26-0, 9 KOs), of Las Vegas, NV., will have their Official Weigh-In Today! Friday, June 26, at StubHub Southeast Plaza Stage (18400 Avalon Blvd., Carson, Calif. 90746). Media may report at 1:00 p.m. The fighters will step on the scale at 2:00 p.m. PT. They are one day away from their welterweight world title fight. Bradley, who has held a world title every year since 2008, will be looking to extend his streak.
Joining Bradley and Vargas will be two-time Mexican Olympian and undefeated human wrecking machine ÓSCAR VALDEZ (16-0, 14 KOs), of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, making his HBO debut in the co-main event, in a 10-round featherweight bout, and his opponent, former world title challenger RUBEN "Canelito" TAMAYO (23-5-4, 15 KOs), a southpaw from Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico.
The Bradley vs. Vargas world welterweight title fight takes place Tomorrow! Saturday, June 27, under the stars at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. The evening will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing®, beginning at 9:45 p.m. ET/PT. It will mark HBO's 1,000th televised fight. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. First Bell is at 4:00 p.m. PT.
