Australian boxer Linn Sandstrom, 11-4-3 (2 KOs), bounced back from her first stoppage loss to score a points win over Thailand's Kanokwan Wirunpat, 4-4 (4 KOs), on Friday in Melbourne, Australia.
The victory marked a successful return to the ring for Sandstrom, who in August suffered a third-round stoppage loss to the undefeated Jasmine Artiga.
“Banked some really valuable rounds here in Melbourne tonight!” Sandstrom posted on Instagram after the fight. “New weight category, same mission,” she added, referring to her move to flyweight from superfly.
The 33-year old Sandstrom hails from Vaxjo, Sweden, but moved to Australia some years ago and turned pro in 2020. She lost her pro debut and was 1-2-1 after her first four fights, but plugged away and won six straight before a draw with Johana Zuniga in 2023.
