Liakhovich-Briggs Heads To Phoenix

The Arizona Republic reports that promoter Don King said Tuesday that he has an agreement with Chase Field for a November 4 showdown between veteran Shannon Briggs (47-4-1, 41 KOs) and WBO heavyweight champion champion Sergei Liakhovich (23-1, 14 KOs), of Scottsdale. The bout will be the first heavyweight title fight in Phoenix history.

"We're coming. going to have a great heavyweight fight out there. It'll be about aspirations, about going from nothing to something just like rising out of the Phoenix ashes," Kind said.
