Welterweight contender Lewis Crocker has said all he's wanted since beating Paddy Donovan via contentious disqualification last month is a rematch.

Crocker, who has been on holiday in Thailand since, maintained his unbeaten record with a disqualification victory after Donovan was penalized for flooring him after the bell.

Crocker was behind on points and had already been down in the decisive eighth, but Donovan had already been docked two points for fouls and was ultimately ruled out of the contest.

Donovan’s team appealed to the IBF for a rematch.

Crocker-Donovan, which filled the SSE Arena in Belfast, was an eliminator to decide the No. 1 contender for the title held by Jaron Ennis. And the IBF listened to Donovan’s team and said that a rematch, which will be huge business in Ireland, had to come next.

Crocker, who is 21-0 (11 KOs), took to social media today to say he is not disappointed.

“Would like to address the rematch situation that the IBF ordered,” the 28 year old wrote. “I want the rematch, anyone who’s asked me about my next fight I said I want the Donovan rematch. Not once have I mentioned anyone else or any other fight bar the rematch. Although I agree with the decision last time as a fighter I need to prove to everyone, the fans and to myself and make sure there’s no doubt next time so we need to run it back. Time to get back to work.”
