Les Ralston, a retired middleweight and super middleweight who briefly appeared on boxing reality series “The Contender,” has been arrested in Upstate New York after allegedly driving his vehicle into two people and then continuing on without stopping, according to The Tonawanda News.

Ralston, 31, is facing one count of second-degree assault, three counts of leaving the scene of an injury accident, and one count of driving on a suspended license, the newspaper reported.

Ralston allegedly drove into two teenagers on Thursday as they were crossing the street and then kept on going, forcing his upset passenger to jump out of the moving car.

The teens and the passenger were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the article said.

Ralston appeared on the third season of “The Contender” but was one of several boxers to be eliminated without getting to fight. That was 2007. His last pro fight came in August 2006, a win that brought his record to 16-2 with nine knockouts. The two defeats on his ledger were against recognizable names: Sergio Mora in 2004 and Lenord Pierre in 2005.
