Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe is very excited for Saturday night's Showtime main event pitting Danny Garcia against Brandon Rios.  Mayweather Promotions is co-promoting the card along with TGB Promotions.

The fight will be Garcia's first fight since his narrow points loss to Keith Thurman last March.  Rios ended his own 18 month hiatus in June when he stopped Aaron Herrera in Lancaster, Calif.

"I am really looking forward to that fight. Danny is a spectacular fighter. He is a very decorated fighter. I don't think he gets enough credit for what he has accomplished thus far. He is coming off the fight against Thurman and I think the time off did him really well so he could rest his body. I am really looking forward to it," Ellerbe told BoxingScene.com. "Brandon Rios, you can't say enough about him. He is a guy who always comes forward with his aggressive style and I think that is what is going to make it an exciting fight."

Garcia is a big favorite going into the fight but when fighters of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent enter the ring against each other, Ellerbe believes that the odds should be thrown out the window. No matter who wins he expects an exciting battle with both fighters giving their all.

"I know it will be an exciting fight. Danny is great shape. I had a chance to go check him out in his camp. Brandon is training with Robert (Garcia) and he is in great shape as well. It is going to be a war," said Ellerbe.

Garcia vs. Rios headlines a Showtime tripleheader that will broadcast live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center on Saturday, February 17th.

The rematch between David Benavidez and Ronald Gavril will serve as the co-feature bout with Yordenis Ugas-Ray Robinson opening the telecast up.
