The World Boxing Council has position Leo Santa Cruz (24-0-1, 14KOs) as the number one ranked super bantamweight in their latest rankings, making him the mandatory challenger to champion Victor Terrazas (37-2-1, 21KOs). Santa Cruz made his debut at 122-pounds on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He stopping veteran Alexander Munoz in five rounds on the Mayweather-Guerrero undercard.

Terrazas is a popular man since grabbing the vacant title with a win over Cristian Mijares last month in Mexico City. Terrazas has been linked to fights with Nonito Donaire, Guillermo Rigondeaux and Vic Darchinyan.
