WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz (28-0) will defend his title for the fourth title when he faces Jesus Ruiz on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Since becoming a champion, Santa Cruz remained active, fighting anywhere from three to five times a year until last year when he only stepped in the ring twice. He said that his plan is to have a more active 2015 campaign.

"Hopefully everything goes good and I don't get any cuts or anything because I want to fight three or four fights.  My manager told me that he will try to get me at least three or four fights. I want to fight more than two times this year," Santa Cruz told BoxingScene.com.

Regardless of if he has a fight lined up, Santa Cruz said that he spends a lot of time in the gym honing his craft.

"I feel more sharp when I fight more.  I like to fight more often because I am always in the gym. Right after a fight I don't take that much time off and I get right back in the gym," said Santa Cruz.
