At the York Hall in London, Lenny Daws (20-1, 8KOs) retained his British junior welterweight title with a twelve round draw against Jason Cook (23-6, 13KOs). The scores were 115-114 Daws, 115-114 Cook and 114-114. Cook dominated the early action and seemed to outbox and hurt the champion with big shots. As the fight wore on, Cook's stamina began to fade and Daws took over the fight.

Both champion and challenger thought the fight was close. Cook felt Daws might have won by a round or two but he wants a rematch. Daws agreed, he thought he won by a round or two.

"I thought I had done enough," Daws told Sky Sports. "I though I nicked it as the fight went on. He rocked me early on, but I felt I could take the punches as the fight went on."
