May 19th’s Elland Road grudge match is edging closer as Lee Selby and Josh Warrington continue to stoke the fire before their stadium showdown.

After last week’s press conference was over, the Champion sat across from Warrington in a special Face Off feature film. A snippet of the back-and-forth verbals featured on the latest BoxNation Podcast:

Selby: "We’ll go through my defences. My first defence Fernando Montiel - elite fighter."

Warrington: "Past his best."

Selby: "Still an elite fighter, something you’ll never be!"

Warrington: "You can argue that as much as you want, at the end of the day Montiel is a Flyweight."

Selby: "Eric Hunter. Ask anybody in America about Eric Hunter. Great amateur, outstanding amateur."

Warrington: "Brilliant amateur, but amateurs are amateurs."

Selby: "A good fighter as a professional. Who’s the next defence? Jonathan Victor Barros. Former World Champion, made plenty of defences...better fighter than you."

Warrington: "I’d beat any of those fighters Lee! And I wouldn’t get put on my backside [referencing Selby’s knockdown against Hunter]."

Selby: "Are you sure?"

Also on the podcast, the Welshman hit back at Warrington’s claim that he was rattled after the presser. "I’m fine. Making sheep noises isn’t going to faze me. [Talking] isn’t my style, I do my talking in the ring. He’s getting his fans riled up and they’ll expect him to deliver."

The prospect of a hostile crowd doesn’t seem to be affecting the IBF World Featherweight Champion either: "I’ll just box even better and prove every fan there wrong…I’ll earn a lot more money off Josh Warrington on May 19th."
