Lee-Saunders Title Fight On Track For September

Frank Warren has confirmed that Andy Lee, 34-2-1 (24) will defend his WBO middleweight title against Billy Joe Saunders, 21-0 (11) later this year in an all-southpaw clash. Warren revealed the news at a press conference in London, provisionally naming a September 5th date for the world title bout.

Saunders will have a warm-up fight at Wembley Arena on July 24. Frank Buglioni, 16-1-1 (12), meets Fedor Chudinov, 13-0 (10), for the World WBA super middleweight title on the same bill after being handed an unlikely title opportunity.
