It appears a legal battle has begun with respect to once-beaten heavyweight contender Tye Fields (39-1, 35KOs). According to the Des Moines Register, Paul Sciezinski, co-owner of Capital Promotions, filed suit against promoter Don King in federal court in Des Moines, claiming that Don King Productions interfered with an agreement between Fields and Sciezinski.
According to The Register, the lawsuit papers state:
"Commencing in 2004 up to and including the present time, Don King intentionally and wrongfully interfered with the plaintiff's contractual relationship with Walter Tyeson Fields, causing a termination of the relationship and its related business expectancy."
Fields is currently promoted by Top Rank, who are not involved in the suit.
