At the Palladium in Hollywood, California, Lance Whitaker (35-6-1, 28 KOs) scored an minor upset with a twelve round split desicion over Andrey Fedosov (21-2, 17 KOs) at the famed Palladium in Hollywood, CA. The scores were 115-112 Fedosov, 115-112 and 114-113 for Whitaker. The crowd was not happy with the final ruling. Fedosov landed the harder punches and floored Whitaker in the fifth round. Whitaker picks up his biggest win in a long time. He was coming off a decision loss to Oliver McCall.
In the heavyweight co-feature, Damian Wills (28-2-1, 21 KOs) pulled off a unanimous ten round decision over Lionel Butler (32-17-1, 25 KOs). The scores were 99-91, 99-91, and 98-92 for Wills. Butler had his moments with several bombs landing in the contest, including one thet caused a knockdown in the ninth round.
