Andrew Golota gets his fourth chance at a heavyweight title. This will probably be his last crack at heavyweight gold should he lose tonight to Lamon Brewster. Golota saw his first crack at heavyweight gold go down the drain in less then two minutes of the first round when Lennox Lewis knocked him out in October of 1997. Golota would not get another chance at a title until 2004 when he challenged Chris Byrd for the IBF heavyweight title last April. Golota fought Byrd to a disputed draw, but many experts criticized Golota for making the late rounds close by not putting more pressure on Byrd down the stretch.

Golota got another chance at a heavyweight title when he faced WBA heavyweight champion John Ruiz a few months later in November. Golota once again lost a disputed decision and once again the experts criticized Golota for making the late rounds close by not putting more pressure on Ruiz. Now Golota faces WBO heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster in what is his third heavyweight title shot in 13 months. Brewster won the title when he defeated Wladimir Klitschko in April of 2004. Brewster took a terrible beating in the bout and came back stagger Klitschko in the 5th round. Wladimir Klitschko seemed to have punched himself out from beating on Brewster and the referee stopped the action as Klitschko was barely able to walk. Brewster went on to face little known Kali Meehan and fought Meehan to a disputed draw as many felt Meehan should of won the fight. Brewster now gets a chance to show he is for real should he defeat Andrew Golota.

***Round by Round Coverage begins at 11PM Eastern Standard Time***

HBO is making their case that since Golota is 37 years old, this is likely his last chance for a title should he lose. Golota is making his way down to the ring and the huge amount of Polish fans in the crowd are going wild. Brewster is now coming down to the ring and is pelted by a loud echo of boos.

Round 1 - Brewster comes out with big power punches and drops Andrew Golota with ahuge hook and Golota is down on his back within a few seconds of the fight. Brewster now batters Golota some more power shots and sends him through the ropes. Golota is back in the ring, Brewster is now jumping on Golota again and batters him down to the canvas and that is it, the ref has stopped the fight. Golota has been stopped in the first round by WBO champion Lamon Brewster in a big upset. The career of Andrew Golota is over, I do not see him coming back from this loss.
