Former WBO heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster (33-4, 29 KOs) will make his return to the ring on August 30, headlining an event at the Cincinnati Gardens. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, local businessman Andrew Williams will co-promote the event with Brewster's own promotional company.
The fight will be Brewster's first since taking a bad beating at the hands of Wladimir Klitschko last July in Germany before the fight was stopped in six. Brewster holds a 2004 fifth-round stoppage win over Klitschko.
No opponent has been named for the August return. A variety of local fighters and prospects are going to appear on the undercard.
