Hamburg - Bulgarian heavyweight Kubrat Pulev was medically cleared after going to a hospital following his first career defeat on Saturday night. He was dropped four times and stopped in the fifth round by heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Doctors confirmed that Pulev did not suffer a broken nose or a fractured cheek bone, as doctors initially feared.
”We were in hospital by 2:30 a.m. The computed tomography scanning showed there was nothing broken. There was no cerebral hemorrhage, only a mild head injury. He will today travel to Berlin and will after that catch a flight to Sofia,” said Pulev’s promoter Chris Meyer of Sauerland Event, speaking for Das Bild.
