WBO light heavyweight champion Krzysztof Glowacki (25-0, 16 KOs) pulled off one of the biggest victories of the year last month, when he knocked out longstanding beltholder Marco Huck (38-3-1, 26 KOs) for the title. Huck was one win away from breaking the cruiserweight title defense record.

Glowacki is going to have two operations next week to repair injuries to his left elbow and left wrist, according to his promoter Andrzej Wasilewski. There is no information currently on how long the Glowacki will be on the shelf.

The Polish boxer is advised by Al Haymon and has several opportunities in the coming future. One possibility is a fight with Beibut Shumenov, who won a decision last month over BJ Flores. And other fighter calling him out is former four division champion Roy Jones Jr. And then there is WBA champion Denis Lebedev.
