Arena Box Promotion announced today the main bouts for their big show at the Sporthall in Hamburg March 27. It´s topped by heavyweight Steffen Kretchmann´s attempt to get revenge over Russian Dennis Baktov. In the chief support WBA feather champ Yuriorkis Gamboa is to defend the title and on the undercard Juan Carlos Gomez returns after losing to Vitali Klitschko last year. Also on the bill is middleweight Mahir Oral and prodebutant Robert Woge.
Swedish heavyweight Andreas Gustavsson, 4-0, made his US debut February 5 in Philadelphia and will now through a sponsor and help from matchmaker and agent Don Elbaum will continue his career in the US.
WBFed President Howard Goldberg writes in his column at the organization´s website that Francois Botha will defend the title in April or early May against an opponent to be announced. Further details to come.
