BoxingScene.com and other members of the media recently spoke with WBA/WBO/IBF light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev.
The hard hitting Russian was recently in Canada for the super middleweight title fight between James DeGale and Lucian Bute when he crossed paths with WBC light heavyweight champion and nemesis Adonis "Superman" Stevenson.
"I was afraid. I was afraid because Superman was flying back and forth. He was flying this way and that way!" Kovalev joked. "He flew by the first time and then a second time. Then the third time I stopped him and then Kathy (Duva) and Egis (Klimas) came and reporters came and he started talking about excuses and I said this time say yes by signing a contract and not by talking to reporters."
Kovalev said that all on his focus is on his January 30th rematch against Jean Pascal but after that fight he would love to unify all the belts.
"I don't care if he was scared or not. I just want to fight. Come on. Stop talking about this guy. Pascal is next. If I beat Pascal then we will see who the next guy is if it's him or not," said Kovalev.
