Count Sergey Kovalev among those who are curious to see what changes Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach will make with his new pupil Jean Pascal. The two fighters will meet in the squared circle for the second time on January 30th in Montreal, Quebec.

"I think that Pascal with Freddie will bring something different but I will be ready for that situation.  I am ready for everything because it is my job and I am getting better and more experienced fight by fight.  I am curious as well to see what he does differently," said Kovalev.

The powerful Russian stopped Jean Pascal in 8 rounds in their first encounter. The fight was waived off with Pascal on his feet.

Kovalev feels that there is still room for improvement in the the rematch.

"I want to beat him more decisively.  I want to leave no doubt between me and him.  I want to win the fight clearly and not take any punishment.  It was a very hard fight for me because I missed some punches.  I made some mistakes but right now I think that I have fixed them and seeing the next fight will be very interesting.  I want to destroy him as a boxer forever," Kovalev stated.

Pascal has made claims that Kovalev is racist and made other remarks that Kovalev feels were not only untrue but were below the belt. Those statements have made Kovalev even more motivated.

"He won't need to fight anymore because he has already lost his mind.  He is saying things that aren't true.  Like in boxing low blows are illegal punches and the things that he is saying are like low blows.  I don't like it and he will pay for it," Kovalev remarked.
