Koseki Dominates Nagaowa To Retain WBC Title in Tokyo

Filipina Jujeath “Bad Girl” Nagaowa has lost in a WBC bantamweight title fight against Japan’s Momo Koseki in the main event at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

The World Boxing Council reported that the 29 year old Koseki dominated the fight using her great speed to advantage.

All three judges scored the fight for the defending champion.

Takeaki Kanaya had Koseki the winner 99-91, Kodai Kumasaki and Kazuo Abe both turned in 98-92 scorecards to give the Japanese girl who improved to 13-2-1 with 3 knockouts a well-deserved unanimous decision.

The 24 year old Nagaowa dropped to 11-11-1 with 7 knockouts.

The Filipina from Baguio City had previously lost by a 5th round TKO to another Japanese Naomi Togashi in a WBC Female light flyweight title fight on May 8, 2011.
